1) I feel like, after watching the other videos, that we did a very good job with our edits and making our in and out points clean and smooth. I also feel like our greenscreen editing was done very well, we have no unnessicary parts of us removed, there was no green left and we blend with the background to make it look real.
2) I would have liked to have added music, after seeing how well it worked in the other videos.
3) I edited the videos in and out points throughout most of the video.
4) I helped Cole edit the greenscreen shots and Cole helped me edit some in and out points.
5) If I could do this project again one of the things I would do differently is that I would look directly at the camera instead of above it because it looks like we are staring into space.

A green screen works by providing a not commonly used background color to be eliminated in order to make way for a new background. Important considerations are to make sure the screen has no wrinkles and no shadows. A problem that can arise is you could eliminate part of the person. The easier technique is to use premiere pro but after effects does a much better job of eliminating the background.

This is an example of a template title, which means that this is used as an opening title just with a cool, premade, graphic behind it. You might use this kind of title when you want a type of graphic or a cool picture behind your title.

This is an example of an overlayed title, which means the title is played on top of the video being played. You might use this kind of title when you want to tell who someone is while they are talking.

This is an example of an opening title, which means that you use this title at the begining of the clip to introduce the clip. You might use this kind of title when you want to introduce a clip.

A simple cut in the timeline is when you remove a previously existing video from the timeline. When you cut a clip the other videos in the timeline stay where they were. A ripple edit is when you remove a clip from the timeline and then close the gap left by that video in the timeline by moving the other videos together. You do this by right clicking the video you want removed the clicking ripple delete. Lifting and extracting are two ways to remove portions of clips at one time. To do this you set the in and out points (set them as the portion you want deleted) then you click on the lift button if you want to leave a gap, or the extract button if you dont want the gap. Lifting is like a cut while extracting is like a ripple delete in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline. This is an exampple of an extracting edit. I decided to extract the portion of the two videos where I did because this showed the most action with the best part of the other girls smile.

This is an example of an overlay edit. You can use this during when an action is going on so it doesnt disrupt the flow of the action. i decided to overlay the second clip where i did so it seemed like the girl was excited about the jump the other girl just preformed. The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is that in an overlay edit the original video keeps playing along with the second video in order to keep the time flow going and to make the video look normal. An insert stops the original video and while the first video is paused it plays the second video. In this case the overlay works better because it doesnt stop the action that is being preformed and keeps everything flowing.

This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit stops the original video from playing and instead plays the second video, then when the second video is done, the original starts back up again from where it stopped. I inserted this video where I did because it doesnt stop the flow of action as badly.

Reflection: I think I am getting better at editing videos quicker and more efficiently. I am happy with the way the video turned out and how it looks. I am not happy about the format size of the video.
On this project I gained a better idea about how to edit clips together. What helped me figure this out was all the practice with editing videos. One challenge we faced was the video size. We never overcame this because we cant reformat the video. One way I helped my partner was to help him get the video uploaded to youtube.

Reflection: I learned the basics of how to work Premiere Pro while working on this project. Things i would like to improve on the next project are using Premiere Pro quicker and getting my project done faster. What I liked about the final project was how we could edit the video to only play what looked good.

The process of making the video included recording the video, importing the video into Premiere Pro, editing the video, exporting the video out of Premiere Pro, transfering the video into a flash file, the posting the video onto youtube then onto the blog.

Our Group Discussion About Values.com

Our group liked the video "The Greatest" the best. We liked it because of the meaning behind it, the fact that it had baseball in it, and the idea of perseverance. We also liked the camera angles, the use of slo-mo, and the lighting.
